Her luck started in September of 2008 when she decided to purchase a Deal Or No Deal instant scratch lottery ticket in a store in South Charles, WV, USA. See, she doesn't even play the lottery; she just happened to see that ticket and it looked interesting. So, she bought it... and won! $10,000! Not bad for a woman that doesn't even play the lottery.
That win must have piqued her interest in the lotto because she bought more. In January of 2009 she bought another ticket and won $1000. In March, she won another $1000. Then a few days after her $1000 March win, she won $50,000.
Then in May of 2009, she was at the Dunbar Go-Mart and watched while another woman purchased 13 Price Is Right instant scratch lotto tickets. They were all duds. So, Brenda Bailey decided to buy one. And, guess what? Yep, she won. This time, Brenda won $100,000!
The luckiest woman in America won five lotteries in an eight month period, ranging from September of 2008 to May of 2009. Her grand total from all of the wins combined? $167,000!!!
The moral of the story? Don't buy any lottery tickets in West Virgina; Brenda Bailey has already bought all the winning tickets.
